Classroom Inspiration

Via Apartment Therapy

Decorating your home with vintage items typically found in the classroom may not appeal to those who longed to be anywhere but school.  However, if you are like me and love the smell of old books or spinning a globe to see where your finger will land, some classroom inspired items might be for you.
Flea markets, antique stores and rummage sales are great places to find classroom inspired accessories and furniture.

1. Vintage alphabet cards would be great in a child's bedroom or play area.  These alphabet hanging wall cards are from Land of Nod.

2. A drafting table always seems to spark creativity.  This one is from Restoration Hardware.

3.  Wire locker baskets can easily be found at flea markets or on ebay and can store a lot more than swimsuits and flip flops.

4.  A vintage globe adds visual interest to a room.

5. Salvaged lockers would be a nice addition to a mudroom and could be painted any color you want.  White would be my first choice with chalkboard nameplates on each door!

6.  The drafting table wouldn't be complete without a proper stool.  This one is also from Restoration Hardware.

7. These test tube wall vases from cb2 are just too cute!
