"I'm Bored" Summer List

Every parent dreads hearing their child say, "I'm bored".  I made a list of things to do so that I would have a response the next time my son uttered those words.  It has been working great, so I thought I would share some of it with you!

Decorating your home with vintage items typically found in the classroom may not appeal to those who longed to be anywhere but school.  However, if you are like me and love the smell of old books or spinning a globe to see where your finger will land, some classroom inspired items might be for you.

A Burst of Color

The weather is warming up this week and I am looking forward to the first signs of spring.  I know, I know, it will be a while yet, but maybe some color will hold me over until then.

Sawhorse tables/desks

I have been obsessed with sawhorse tables lately.  You may think they can only be used in rustic or casual decor, but I love them best when they are paired with something unexpected.

It is absolutely freezing today which makes this the perfect time to sit down with a cup of coffee and write my very first post.  I am so excited to get started on this new journey.  I am looking forward to sharing my thoughts on design, green living, and the simple pleasures(and problems) of country life.  Thanks for visiting!
